Judy's passion for her fibre art comes from a love of colour, fabrics, unusual fibres and sewing. After graduating from an extensive interior design program and custom design sewing for her freelance business, she began creating unique quilts for charity auctions which started her off her journey of the exploration of the quilt as art. Her distinctive styled realistic 3 dimensional landscapes have become the focus of her studio work. Time is divided between creating these fibre art pieces, exhibitions & trunk shows, teaching workshops, consultations and welcoming commissions. Past commissions have included The Canadian Heritage River Systems, The Record, Wilfrid Laurier University and many private collectors. Memberships include Grand Guild of Fibre Artists, KW Society of Artists & several quilting groups.
